Library Organization Structure

 
Departments

The main objective of the users who enter the library is to gain information resources and services. So, core business of the library is to provide information resources and services and facilitating to the users. The Au Library is divided into 2 major departments: Collection Development & Cataloging Department, and Information Service Department, and a working group works as "Secretary Work".

Collection Development & Cataloging Department is divided into 3 divisions,
1) Collection Development Division responsible for selection, acquisition, studying the users and evaluating in order to acquire information resources for the library i.e. printed materials, non-printed materials, and e-resources for the library service to bridge the advancement and needs of users and corresponded with curriculums, studies and researches of the university.
2) Cataloging Division including serial publication section.
3) Preservation Division.

Information Service Department is to support and to encourage maximize the worth and the uses of information resources and services. It is divided into 3 divisions,
1) Circulation Service Division is to facilitate the information resources uses.
2) Reference Service Division is to encourage the library uses by organizing activities and services, i.e. inquiry service, library tour, exhibitions, user education, etc.
3) E-Service Division.

Secretary Work is divided into 3 sections,
1) Planning and Policy Section is responsible for library policy and plan, including library standard.
2) Information System & General Administrative Section i.e. collecting data to analysis and evaluation the library, library management system, budgeting, office affairs jobs, personnel administration and, including develop the library staff in order to raise the effectiveness of working.
3) Electronic and Digital Library Section is to adopt IT for working and servicing, developing library homepage.
