The Central Library participated in Career Week 2026, held from August 25–26, 2026, by organizing an engaging activity to promote reading and raise awareness of environmental sustainability among the Assumption University community.
Under the campaign “Read Green, Live Green,” the Library invited students and interested participants to explore environmental information resources available at the AU Green Corner. Participants were encouraged to select a book related to the environment, read it, and share their thoughts by writing a book review.
The activity aimed to inspire students to discover valuable environmental knowledge through reading while encouraging them to reflect on how information and awareness can contribute to a more sustainable lifestyle.
To make the activity even more meaningful and exciting, the winner of the book review activity will receive a unique handmade tote bag—a one-of-a-kind item specially created for this campaign.
The “Read Green, Live Green” campaign is not only part of the Central Library’s ongoing efforts to promote reading and the use of library resources, but also supports Assumption University’s strategic commitment to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Through this initiative, the Library seeks to encourage environmental awareness, lifelong learning, and sustainable practices within the university community.
