Second Floor: Quiet Study and Special Collections
Looking for a calm place to read, research or concentrate between classes? The Cathedral of Learning Library at Assumption University’s Suvarnabhumi Campus welcomes students, faculty, researchers and visitors with helpful services, quiet study areas and distinctive academic collections. At the Circulation Counter, library staff assist with borrowing, returning and renewing materials, locating resources and making full use of the Library’s services.
The Quiet Reading Zone provides individual desks for focused study. A Self-Service Printing Station also lets users print directly from a smartphone without connecting to a computer.
Special Collections with a Wider View
The second floor is home to three collections that strengthen the University’s academic, cultural and international resources:
Bro. Bancha’s Collection – A curated collection reflecting the academic interests and intellectual contributions of Rev. Bro. Dr. Bancha Saenghiran.
The John Paul II Center for Catholic Social Thought – Resources supporting study in Catholic Social Teaching, ethics, leadership, peace, justice and human dignity.

Third Floor: Study with a Garden View
The Reading Zone overlooks the Babylon Rock Garden, creating a bright and peaceful atmosphere for individual study, group discussions and project work. The Relax Zone offers a comfortable place to read casually, take a short break or recharge between classes.
The Green Corner: Learning for a Sustainable Future
The third floor also features the Green Corner, a dedicated collection on environmental sustainability, conservation, renewable energy and sustainable development.
The collection supports coursework and research while encouraging greater awareness of the environmental choices shaping communities and the wider world.
Whether studying independently, meeting classmates or exploring sustainability, students can find a comfortable space that supports both learning and well-being.
Fourth Floor: Collaboration, Heritage and Creative Engagement
The fourth floor is a flexible space for individual study, teamwork, cultural appreciation and campus engagement. Spacious tables and comfortable seating support classes, research and collaborative projects.
Two distinctive collections connect users with Thailand’s national story and Assumption University’s own history:
The Chakri Dynasty Collection – Books and resources exploring the history, heritage and contributions of Thailand’s Chakri Dynasty.
AU Archives – Institutional records, publications, photographs and materials preserving important milestones in the history of Assumption University.
Happy Space and Performance Space
The Happy Space gives students a relaxed area for board games, conversation and a well-earned break from study.
The Performance Space provides a versatile venue for seminars, workshops, presentations, exhibitions, student activities and cultural events. Together, these spaces make the fourth floor a place where study, creativity and campus life can comfortably share the same address.
Fifth Floor: Co-Working for Research and Innovation
The fifth floor offers a modern co-working environment for advanced study, research and academic collaboration. Seven Research Rooms provide private spaces for graduate students, faculty members and research teams to conduct focused study, meetings and thesis discussions.
Digital Support When You Need It
A Computing Service provides access to computers for research, coursework, data access and digital learning. A Self-Service Printing Station allows users to print directly from their smartphones without connecting to a computer.
Some days call for silence. Others call for a large table, a research room, a computer, a conversation or simply a comfortable chair with a good view. Across Levels 2 to 5, the Cathedral of Learning Library gives the AU community the freedom to choose the setting that works best.
To help everyone enjoy a productive and respectful environment, users are kindly asked to follow Library regulations and guidelines for shared spaces. Wherever and however you study best, there is a place for you at the Cathedral of Learning Library.
