On the occasion of their visit to Assumption University, H.E. Mr. OUK Sorphorn, Ambassador of the Royal Embassy of Cambodia to Thailand and his party paid a courtesy call to Rev. Bro. Dr. Bancha Saenghiran, President-Rector Magnificus, on May 16, 2019 at Hua Mak Campus.  During the meeting, these highly distinguished diplomatic guests discussed with the rector about the potential academic cooperation with the university.

Phillpe Kridelka, the Belgium Ambassador to Thailand, paid a courtesy visit to Assumption University’s executives at Suvarnabhumi Campus on April 2, 2018.  On hand to welcome the honored guest, was Rev. Bro. Dr. Bancha Saenghiran, President-Rector Magnificus.  During this visit, H.E. Phillpe Kridelka was given a specially guided tour around the campus.

H.E. Mr. Geoffrey Quinton Mitchell Doidge,  Ambassador of the Republic of South Africa, and Madame Carol Doidge paid a courtesy visit to AU President, Rev. Bro. Dr.  Bancha Saenghiran, and Dean of  Martin de Tour School of Management and Economics, Assumption University on July 17, 2018  where His Excellency delivered a speech to the faculty on the centenary of Nelson Mandela who was born on July 18, 1918.  To quote some of his eloquent speech, “…When South African travel abroad, …the most likely respond that I get is “Nelson Mandela!” …Mandela is globally synonymous with the timeless humanist ideas: truth, honour, justice, rights, equality, redistribution, fairness, forgiveness, and peace…”  Read more for the Ambassador’s full speech.

Celebration of the U.S.A. 243 rd Anniversary of Independence

Rev. Bro. Dr. Bancha Saenghiran, AU President-Rector Magnificus, and Mr. Glen Chatelier, Director of the Office of International Affairs, attended the United States Embassy reception themed “Hawaiian Luau” on June 27, 2019 celebrating the  243rd Anniversary of American Independence.  Hosted by the Chargé d’ Affaires Mr. Peter Haymond and Mrs. Dusadee Haymon, the occasion also participated by a number of AU students and alumni, took place at the Athenee Crystal Hall, Athenee Hotel.

121^st Anniversary of Philippine National Day

On June 12, 2019 Rev. Bro. Rev. Bro. Dr. Bancha Saenghiran, AU President-Rector Magnificus, and Mr. Glen Chatelier, Director of the Office of Internal Affairs, joined other dignitaries commemorating the 15th Anniversary of the Republic of Poland joining the European Union.  Hosted by H.E. The 100^th (Centennial) Anniversary of the National Day of Romania

Representing Assumption University, Rev. Bro. Dr. Bancha Saenghiran, President-Rector Magnificus, Mr. Glen Chatelier, Director of the Office of International Affairs, and Dr. Ioan Voicu attended the 100th Anniversary of the National Day of Romania.  The Romania centenary celebrations recently hosted by H. E. Bogdan Badea, Romanian Ambassador to the Kingdom of Thailand (3rd left), took place at the Royal Sports and Polo Club which was joined by countless ambassadors, diplomatic personnel and honored guests.

95^th Anniversary of Turkey National Day

Rev. Bro. Dr. Bancha Saenghiran, AU President-Rector Magnificus, and  Mr. Glen Chatelier, Director of the Office of International Affairs, were among the honored guests participating in the 95th Anniversary of Turkey National Day hosted by H.E. Mrs. Evren Dagdelen Akgun,  Republic of Turkey’s Ambassador to the Kingdom of Thailand.   Held on October 29, 2018  at the Anantara Siam Hotel, Bangkok, the celebrative anniversary occasion was attended by a sizable number of ambassadors and diplomatic corps from various countries as well as distinguished guests.

The Celebration of the 150th Anniversary of Thai Belgian Relations

The President of Assumption University Rev. Brother Dr. Bancha Saenghiran partipated in the Gala Dinner  celebrating the 150th Anniversary of Thai Belgian relations on October 1, 2018 at the Athenee Hotel.  The dinner was  Presided over by HSH M.C. Chalermsuk Yugala representing her Royal Highnesses Princess Soamsavali, and Princess Lea representing the Belgian King.  The dinner was hosted by Count Gerald van der Straten Ponthoze and the felicitatory toast raised by H.E. Mr. Kridelka, Ambassador of Belgium to Thailand.
