The arXiv e-Print Archive has been around since 1991 and is a well-known resource in the fields of mathematics and computer science. It is run by Cornell University Library and now offers open access to more than one million e-prints. 

ASEAN CITATION INDEX (ACI) (Open Access)

ASEAN Citation Index (ACI) is a central regional database which was designed and set up to index all the bibliographic records and the citations of all quality ASEAN research outputs appeared in the ASEAN scholarly journals. The member countries of the ACI are Brunei Darussalam, Cambodia, Indonesia, Lao PDR, Malaysia, Myanmar, the Phillippines, Singapore, Thailand, and Vietnam.            

AU -IR

The Assumption University Institutional Repository (AU-IR) is a set of services that the university offers to the members of the AU community for the management and dissemination of digital materials created by the institution and our community members. 

Our goal is to collect and preserve the scholarly/creative output of our institution, and to make it available and accessible to the global, scholarly network. It is our total commitment to stewardship of the organization, distribution and long-term preservation of all AU academic works in digital format. 

AU-IR is an open access system and can be accessed via general search engines such as Google. “Open-access (OA) literature is digital, online, free of charge, and free of most copyright and licensing restrictions.”   

BIOMED CENTRAL (Open Access)

BioMed Central provides open access research from more than 290 peer-reviewed journals in the fields of biology, clinical medicine, and health. You can browse these journals by subject or title, or you can search all articles for your required keyword. 

BMJ Open (Open Access)

BMJ Open is an online, open access journal, dedicated to publishing medical research from all disciplines and therapeutic areas. 

BUSINESS EXPERT PRESS (iG Publishing)

Online e-books database offers 50 titles. Coverage in international business, strategic management, managerial accounting, corporate communications, financial accounting, human resource management and organizational behavior. 

CAIRN.INFO (Open Access)

Founded in 2005 by four Belgian and French academic publishers, Cairn.info offers the most comprehensive online collection of francophone publications in social sciences and humanities. In 2019, more than 500 journals and 10 000 eBooks from major French, Belgian and Swiss publishers can be accessed by students, scholars and librarians worldwide on www.cairn.info. To make this invaluable content accessible to a non–francophone readership, Cairn.info launched Cairn International Edition, an English-language platform where abstracts and selected articles from key journals on Cairn.info are translated from French into English, enabling users to search, browse and read this content without speaking a word of French. Cairn International Edition received support from the Centre Français d'exploitation du droit de Copie.

CLINICALTRAILS.GOV (Open Access)

ClinicalTrials.gov is a database of privately and publicly funded clinical studies conducted around the world. 

CORE (Open Access)

CORE is a multidisciplinary aggregator of open access research. It allows users to search more than 66 million open access articles. While most of these link to the full-text article on the original publisher's site, five million records are hosted directly on CORE.

ECONBIZ (Open Access)

EconBiz is a great resource for economic and business studies. A service of the Leibniz Information Centre for Economics, it offers access to full texts online, with the option of searching for open access material only. 

EDUCATION RESOURCES INFORMATION CENTER (Open Access)

The Education Resources Information Center (ERIC), of the Institution of Education Sciences, allows you to search by topic for material related to the field of education. Links lead to other sites, where you may have to purchase the information, but you can search for full-text articles only.

The service primarily indexes journals, grey literature (such as technical reports, white papers, and government documents), and books. All sources of material on ERIC go through a formal review process prior to being indexed.

Scientific Research Publishing (SCIRP) is one of the largest Open Access journal publishers. It is currently publishing more than 200 open access, online, peer-reviewed journals covering a wide range of academic disciplines. SCIRP serves the worldwide academic communities and contributes to the progress and application of science with its publication. 

SCILIT (Open Access)

The name Scilit uses components of the words “scientific” and “literature”. This database of scholarly works is developed and maintained by the open access publisher MDPI.
Scilit is a comprehensive, free database for scientists using a new method to collate data and indexing scientific material. Our crawlers extract the latest data from CrossRef and PubMed on a daily basis. This means that newly published articles are added to Scilit immediately. 

SOCIAL SCIENCE RESEARCH NETWORK (Open Access)

The Social Science Research Network (SSRN) is a collection of papers from the social sciences community. The site offers more than 700,000 abstracts and more than 600,000 full-text papers. There is not yet a specific option to search for only full-text articles, but because most of the papers on the site are free access, it is not often that you encounter a paywall. You must become a member to use the services, but registration is free and enables you to interact with other scholars around the world.
